    Hey there everyone.

i recently acquired a new project and i am having a lot of fun tearing into it with hopes that i will have a very cool and unique car that is fun to drive when its all sorted out.

from what i understand the vehicle was originally built to its current configuration in 1987. it had an engine issue and the owner parked it as soon as it started running rough. i rescued it from a storage unit where it has been hibernating on jackstands for the last 12 years.

i finally got the engine out last weekend and torn down. i was quite surprised to see it has a 300 crank and aluminum 300 heads in it. as well as .020" over pistons. however, it has some issues that need to be addressed before i can rebuild it. that is why i am here. i have ordered a workshop manual and it should be here shortly. but please pardon any stupid questions i may ask in the meantime. thank you for checking out my thread and i look forward to getting to know you all and your cars!

    Welcome.. ;)

We have a couple of Volvo's ( 142 and 240 ) in Denmark with Rover v8's.. Normally Denmark is very restricted regards cars and modified cars, but a little loophole that makes is possible because of the low hp output

    Nice project :)
