I bought a 1976 Riviera from its original owner, and 82-year-old man in rural Nebraska. When I took the original title in to the TX DMV, the clerk had to go off and verify it, because it looked weird to her. I loved every minute of it.

The car has 78000 miles and has never been worked on hardly at all. All original inside and out. It slept for 20 years but came to me running well with fluids changed.

It only has 210 HP, but it seems like more.

It needs bumper fillers (which I have ordered and received; waiting in line for paint) and an AC overhaul, which is first priority here in Texas.

    This is my 7th different year Riviera. 66 67 68 69 71 76 83

Paint restoration, factory body side molding and pinstriping are on the short list too.

It really is hard to beat a great looking Riv to cruise around it. Congrats to you on this one!

the cool thing is .. its the last of the 455's and even though that year particularly sucked, it can pretty much be cured with a call to TA Performance ..

.. No one will notice the Aluminum Stage1SE heads once painted or the small roller cam. Well, practically no one

Did you get a photocopy of that original title for posterity sake?

Frank, did you get the bumper fillers from repliplastics in Dothan, Ala?
Wondering if they still are in business, or if there is another place?
Don't currently need any but have in the past.

I did buy them there. Very poor fit. The fronts took some trimming and turned out pretty well, but the rears took a lot of trimming and time and are not perfect still. Passable only.

It befuddles me why their molds are wrong...it seems to me that it takes the same amount of work to make them wrong as it does to make them right.
