Craig, I really like your work that you have put in this fiberglass hood!

It looks really nice, and it makes a Buick really stand out!

If many of these are gonna be sold, then the other brand crowd may think that, this is an orginal Stage 1 hood that Buick maked back then..:Brow:

Sure like to have one on my car!

I got the top of one of these hoods coming soon and will try a graft onto a Riv hood. Hoping it looks as bad ass as it does on a Lark.

Mike, these are all the hoods that I have built, not counting the 4 I've used on my car over the last 3 years and either cut up or reconfigured to make a new plug. Folks have sent me some pictures after they get them mounted. As a side note, the one on Steve Reynolds car (the white & black racecar) has the old design back section. Thanks to Steve's feedback as well as feedback from people at one of the GS meets, I went back in and made the back raised section a little moved convex. Hopefully I'll also get some pic's back from the two that will be shipping out shortly as well as a pic of Briz's Riv with the center section I sold him grafted to his hood. The pic here just shows it sitting on a steel Skylark hood.

I'll be putting the shipping boxes together for the two completed hoods I have this weekend. After I get them shipped, I need to repaint the stripes back on my Roush Mustang and then I can get back to the glass work.

I have Stage 1 TE heads with a SP2 intake and 2 inch cloverleave spacer, the carb without aircleaner just fitted under a VFN fiberglass hood.
I made a flat aircleaner plat that sits flat on the 950CFM DP carb, and now with a 4 inch aircleaner and a hole in the hood, the aircleaner sticks about 1 1/2 or 2 inch tops above the hood surface.

So I think that your hood will fit (correct me if I'm wrong) such an engine package also.

I have a GS fiberglass hood, and a Stage 2 hoodscoop, that one will not fit with the GS hoodbulges coming from the GS airvents.
I turned the Stage 2 scoop backward with the opening to the windshield and found out that then it follows the line of the GS hood perfectly.
We had to made a small indentation in the middle of the hoodscoop, to clear the raised center line of the GS hood to make it fit snugly on the hoodsurface.
It still has to have the fine work done to it, to finish it of but the rough work is done now.
It will look different when its finished and painted (it will get the same color as the hood is now white/blue), the hoodtach on the car, has an angle at the rpm gauge face, we are going to cut the Stage 2 scoop on the angle to, to complement the two and give it an more even look to it.

It will never be as good looking as your GS hood craig, but for now I'm happy with it. Here is a picture of it and also our new GS grill is in the car also, need to realign the hood next time.

Yes Robert, you'd still have some room above your carb with my hood. Yours is interesting and looks pretty good, it'll be even better once you get it painted :)

Thats good to hear Craig that your hood will fit to.

Question I forgot to ask you, can the hoodtach still go on your hood.
And if so, will it be in the same place or need it be moved a little more, towards the fender?

Yeah, looking at your hood, I'd guess the tach would have to be slid out some. Not sure how that would look. I have to swing over TA in the next couple of weeks, maybe Mike has a tach there I can just sit on the hood......

That would be great to see a picture with a hoodtach on your Hood, there are more people with a hoodtach on the car who like to see that!

Hood has made it, in pristine shape. For others, hood is as stated. Solid quality and precise. One of a kind.
Craig is super cool to work with, honest, and obviously an artisan with the glass.
Thanks again Craig, will keep the board posted on my progress.

Thanks Joe, I appreciate the feedback. It looks like I do need to glue the foam on the side of the box so it doesn't shift around. I have another one that should have been delivered to another member yesterday, hopefully it arrives unscathed as well :) I'm finishing up a mold for a rear spoiler for an 80's style Olds Cutlass for my friends car then I'll do a little mold touch up work and then start another hood.

My hood arrived yesterday. Same deal with the foam moving. Only minor damage to the front corner of the hood. It poked through the box and chipped the front corner a bit. No big deal. Very nice looking piece. A huge thank you to Craig for doing this. :TU:

Thanks Steve, I try to pack them as good as I can without pushing the weight. The box size is bad enough but start adding weight and guys are paying 50% or more of the cost of the hood in freakin' shipping! On Joes hood and yours I glued all the foam front and back but thought the larger pieces on the side would stay, and so I am shown to be wrong :spank: I guess the next one will be 100% foam glued! Your hood is the first of 5 that had any damage to it in shipping. Let me know if there's anything I need to do to make the damage right.

No worries Craig. The damage is minor. Nothing that can't be taken care of when prepping for paint.

Craig, is there a large line of people for one of these hoods ? I'm very interested but not sure if you're overloaded with orders or not. Thx, John Biggs.

Craig how much for a hood picked up?
It might be 2 to 3 hoods for me and a couple friends.
    Thanks Joe

Ive ben busy the last few days working on my hood for the riv. Its pretty cool how close the shape of the Lark hood to the Riv hood. Hope to have it bonded together next week.

John, I wouldn't call it a large line, the problem is it seems to take take me over a month to make a hood, so unfortunately it's a slow delivery schedule :( I typically can only work on the project on the weekends. I'm finishing up a spoiler for my racing buddies Olds right now. That should be completed in a week or so and I will do a little hood mold touch up and then start on more hoods. I usually have a customers name for the hood when I start builing it. If they don't still need the hood by the time it's complete, I'll just advertise it here.

I'm still building them, I'm just not that fast at it!

Joe, if someone was going to pick a hood up, I could knock $50 off the price. It doesn't seem like much of a discount, but I don't charge any extra for shipping and handling over what the freight company quotes. The $50 would be the cost of the custom box I had built for these hoods and the wood frame that's on the inside as well as the foam for packing. Right now I just eat theses costs trying to keep the hoods at a reasonable price.

Hey Briz, glad to hear you received the hood section! Can't wait to see how it looks on the Riv

    Craig,
What is your status with the hood production. I am in for one and was next on your list a couple months ago. Sending P.M.
    Thanks, can't wait,
    Dennis
