Last weekend i went up to chicago to buy a great looking WE-4 with t tops and about every option (including posi  ) that i can think of. Well im on my way back and i go to use the brakes... and there is no power on them! Well, i got it back today and this thing is one fast car! The seats are angled just right to throw you into the backseat when the turbo spools! it will be my daily driver. Its got 100,050 miles right now and its still strong! I gave josh a ride today and when we got out of the neighborhood, i stopmed it and the car literally went sideways when the turbo kicked in! I love this car!! Well enough babble... heres a pic:

Very clean Marty. I wouldn't mind finding a GN or a Turbo T later on, problem is they aren't quite as understated as the GSs are. Everyone (at least the sellers) know that Turbo buicks are hot tickets. Nice ride :TU:

A WE-4 is a turbo t, a previous owner must not have known what it was so he replaced the T emblems with gn emblems on the fenders. there were 1547 made and even thoguht they had the same engine, they were actually faster than gns and the fastest turbo regal with the exception of the gnx due to aluminum drums and bumper supports

Looks like a WE-4 with GN wheels and badges. Notice the seats aren't GN seats and the "T" in the steering wheel.
A WE-4 was basically a GN that did not have the interior, wheels and badges. If I recall correctly, they also had aluminum bumper brackets and rear drums to cut out some weight.
Probably some other things I don't recall.

    Very nice car :TU:

Enjoy it, they are a lot of fun.

 kinda beat ya to it by a minute or so! i guess i left out some things, like the interior and the emblem on the trunk and the wheels. i dont like the t type wheels anyway but i think it would look more menacing and mysterious if it just had a red T on the fender and if the hood emblems were taken off (oddly, the one on the trunk is actually a hood emblem) since the emblems say its turbo and intercooled, oh well for now its my driver so i dont need to worry about it yet....
gotta love the t tops ! :Brow:

So, how is a WE-4 different from a turbo Regal? Was it a different package from what was offered on the T-Type? Or is that what we're talking about? I'm clueless about GNs, but would like to learn.

Oh, and what does a 100,000 mile WE-4 go for?

Haven't seen too many WE-4's around. Had a buddy locally who may still have one since new.
My T tops haven't been off in years. Wound up getting gray covered inserts that slipped under them that matched the headliner. Gave the look as if it was a regular roof and blocked the sun. They are sagging a bit now after 10 years, but still look good.
My GN only has 11,000 miles on it. Would like to get it out if the miserable snow would ever go away. :af:
Oh well, spring has to get here sometime. :Do No:

i paid $6500 but the interior isnt perfect, it had brake problems, i went through 5 fuses today just riding around, and it idles horribly when it gets really cold, it seems as though i have my work cut out for me! Yardley or anyone else for that matter, all of the options and standard equipment and many other things can be found at gnregistry.com

::edit:: i forgot to mention that, if i tried hard enough i could put my foot through the driver side floor! it is extremely soft and needs to be replaced!
BTW this car was on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6137&item=2404487704&rd=1 i guess the guy backed out and he offered me the car, i regret not doing it officially through ebay because this car is nothing he promised! i even called him and he said he didnt know of any problems but when i got in it, the fuse box was open, so he had to know about the? the drvr blinker bezel is chrome and poorly painted black, the rear view mirror was in the glove compartment and on one hood emblem only said * sfi turbo! he also didnt mention the floorboard! :af: :blast: :blast: :af:

    Regarding the brakes...

I'm sure you must be familiar with the crummy Powermaster system and its peculiarities...I would switch to a vaccuum system right away, before you run into something! Good luck, she looks like a beauty.
