New 350- Coolant in oil!!!

    I have shaped, tapped and plugged the coolant scallops on my '73-'75 heads. I used a carbide reamer to round the oval passages and then tapped the holes to fit 1/2" NPT hex plugs. I deburred the edges of the tapped holes, cleaned the threads and then applied Permatex to the holes and plugs. I tightened the plugs until they were below the surface of the heads and viola!- no more holes.

    I have already installed the heads and should be back to the point of trying to start this new engine next weekend. I'll let you know how it goes. :TU:
