    Hi,

Just a heads up and a word of advice for all of those who use Ebay regularly or have just begun. Never bid on anything without pics REGARDLESS of positive feedback or item description. I bid (and won) on:

You are bidding on a pair of wheel opening moldings from a 1969 Buick GS400.The pair are in superb shape with no damage. This part will also fit Skylark models. Thanks for looking and bid to win!
    Grovvycloset is his ebay name.

I received a pair of moldings dented, twisted, 1 was missing 6" of steel from the end. It also still had rotted out rear quarter pieces with screws still attached. I only paid $21 with shipping but if you read the ad....
I will post pics tonight. I do know better but figured 'for the price'...The adage: you get what you pay for' comes to mind. Please take and heed my advice. I would not want anyone else to fall victim to di#*heads like this jamoke.

    Good luck and be careful...

  2. Sorry to hear this George. Do you have any recourse thru your payment method? Credit card, thru paypal?

I personally ignore any listing that does not include good pics, or the seller isn't willing or able to email them. If you are still looking for nice ones, I believe Jeff Kroeger here on the board had NOS 69 moldings for sale a while back. Don't recall them being sold either. Won't be cheap though.

    George,

you can contact KSPLYNCH on the board he still has some moldings left. I bought one for $20 and it looks great. He is very easy to deal with.

Well, I contacted the seller and we agreed on a refund. I will post when, and IF, I see a money order in the mail.

    Thanks

Damn , I'm sorry you had such an obviously shady character to deal with. I currently have a posi pumpkin on sale on e.bay with no pics.Because my dig. camera is on the fritz. No one has bid on it yet and I have had numerous questons about it . But none were for pics though.:Do No:

Yeo that's me . just poste dit here again too.Been posted before. First time I've tried to sell. I hope people are waiting till the last minute to bid. BTW I think I was wrong on the $postage. IT may have been around $40 or so . Don't remember where it was shipped from. If you really need it we can work something out. I could hold it till you gather funds or whatever. Let me know:beer

    Smartin,

I don't think the posi he got will fit your 71 and up rear. Anyone check me on this? Jason, I guess I'd really like that unit, but It's just not gonna happen right now. If it don't sell, keep me in mind. But we are talking next year or so. Thanks.

    Smartin,

What size is your Centurion rear? They aren't the 8.5s are they? Reason I'm asking is cause my wifes 90 Estate wagon has a 3.23 posi and I thought maybe those would be something you could look in boneyards for. Yours is probably still a bigger unit though.

if you use paypal to pay for ebay auctions, you lose all protection offered through your credit card provider as soon as paypal fulfills its obligation to pay the seller. you can read more about this at www.clarkhoward.com
