Looking for 28x7.5x15 front runners.Summit is $151 each for Mickey Thompson Sportsman's and Jegs is $139 each. Is there a cheaper source before I order 2??

You gonna run radial or bias play in the rear?

Ethan, was gonna ask why then did some reading. I 'm looking to buy front runners as well. Running ET Streets Drag Radial in rear. So, if my info is correct, the Maggot can use bias ply front runners , while I need skinny radial up front on my 3.5" rims.
Did anyone look for front runners at DiscountTire.com? Jim

Its been done both ways for years,..I just prefer to keep radials with radials and bias with bias

But yes with drag radials I would run some 185's up front

Try larry Hodges he gives a discount to GSCA members I'm pretty sure

Conventional wisdom says if you run radial fronts and bias rears, you're in for a tail wagging adventure on the big end of the race track. I've always been told bias rears need bias fronts, while radial rears can run either bias or radial fronts. YMMV.

I have 31x11.50 bias et street r's on the rear and 4.5 wide bias MT's on the front of green car. On any curvy roads I have to start turning the wheel 1000 feet before any decent turn or it gets hairy....

I'll support the local speed shop. Will probably pay more but it keeps my money in the community.

I put thousands of street miles on my car with MT ET Street bias rears and typical passenger car 205/75/15 radials up front, and I've been 158+ on the track with radial slicks and bias front runners. Never noticed any stability/drivability problems.

The Sportsman fronts are pretty heavy from what I remember.

They are. My little sportsman fronts on 15x4 wheels weigh almost as much or maybe more than my 11.50 rears on 15x10's. Seriously.

The sportsmans in 28 inch are 20 lbs each.I am wanting the 28 inch tall tire over the 26 inch ones. I looked at 215/75/15 and they are the widest I want to put on the front rims, but they are only 27 inch tall.Like Gary said,I have mixed radials in the rear with bias tires on front and never had an issue. I like the way the Sportsman's fill my wheel opening too..Gonna pull the trigger tonight and buy a pair..

Its definitely been done more often than not,..I'm sure it's more of a concern with larger tread tires like a G60 with say 275s ,..I'm thinking that would be a little wonky,...I wouldn't run one out the back door like that. But with just a few in of tread on the ground up front I myself dont recall it being sketchy,....I ran 11.50 Hoosier QT pros with some 185s for a summer one time

They have a 8ply version for heavier cars

    I have 215/75/15 up front.
They fit the wheel well nice.
    I wouldn’t go short tire .
