Hello, I am in need of a SOLID 455 short block, it does not have to be a race motor but it does need to be in good running condition rebuilt is ok and under 50K miles prefered. I am in Northern California. I prefer a 1970 to 1972. If you have one that is in good shape let me know. Thanks Ron

430 short block I have a 430 short block that I was told 30K on it and 30 over pistons. I tore it apart and sent it to the shop and had it vatted and measured. the bore was a little bit oversized and the crank was in great shape at 10/10. The shop knurlled the pistons and fitted. I bought new rings, rod and main bearings, and main studs. reassembled the block and now it is just taking up garage space. if your intrested email - billjac@sbcglobal.net - I would have no problem using it as a stock motor. I also have a set of o/h 430 heads if your intrested. I sold the project and helping my son with his import dreams.
the one from michael garrison for $450 plus shipping from kansas is probably the closest you will find. the pick-n-pull in fremont had acouple of 75 buicks with 455s in their lot, where are you located?
