David and I are long time buddies as I worked in the GM parts business 78-89 and I was just ribbing him about all the info he was giving......I didn't mean anything else by it:grin:

 

Hey, in Buickone's defense, I sure as heck got the joke. Chuckled about it, too. Don't be so sensitive.

Plus, he's allowed to jump on the thread -- we all are. if that isn't what you want, use PM or e-mail.

And as for thepartsman -- damn! I guess the man does knows his stuff! Nice of him to share his knowledge, too -- way too many of the "what's in it for me" types out there in the world.

Question for thepartsman: I always see these parts lists, etc. on e-bay. I'd like to get something like that, along with a crossover list or whatever, for my fleet of 69's, but don't know what to get from who. Any guidance?

I was not sure if you were being friendly (joking) or maybe you did not get along with thepartsman. I guess I am guilty of pushing the issue. Sorry too. When thepartsman did not reply back right away like he normally does I was not sure what to think.

We have been getting hit with big amounts of rain in New Jersey. Now the first storm is coming at us today and the storm you guys have today is going to hit us Saturday Night. Looks like we will have some flooding in my area.

I know for anyone that has followed the thread they have not seen much good old stuff. I do have some older stuff. I was not sure if thepartsman would know what the stuff was for. Plus he said the older parts he would need the books at home.

I receive and send out parts info to Buick people all over the world, this is what I do and have done for years. I will get AtlantaBuick.com back on its feet again with the info I have for restoration. But for the moment life has gone in a different direction and this is the media I have chosen to help the community with.

The part # 2404316 appears to be half a brake shoe. It appears to be 14x3". Maybe it is for a large truck.
