I've got the inner panel with the heater core out...luckily whoever did the heater core however many years ago left out the stud blocked by the inner fender when they reassembled. as i celebrated, i looked into the big hole in my firewall and saw daylight through the gaping wound in that big A/C evap assembly. looks to me like all air, even that for heat, has to pass through this big firewall box. right? assuming so, i could really use the right half (side without the blower motor) of one of these boxes. that way, i only repair what's needed, i don't have to take off the fender, and it cuts drastically on shipping. so if anyone's got a junk box with a decent panel on, lemme know. it can be unpretty and even slightly cracked, i just need it to all be there so i can repair mine and have some heat this winter.ou:
If your talking about the fiberglass cover thats closest to the engine (smaller half) that covers the evap coil, I've got one, it was repaired in the past, not as pretty as original but its airtight and all the mounting points are in place. You can have it for shipping.

Let's be sure a 68 is gonna fit on your 71, anybody out there know for sure? I'm pretty sure it will as the a/c delete panels are the same for 68-72.
