One of the weatherstrip rubber @ the rear window of my convertible is cracked. Don't know the name of the part (language / technical term problem).

Is it one part (chrome&rubber), or is the rubber sold individually?
Any help / leads to vendors is/are appreciated. Thanks.

Is it possible to replace the rubber with the window, inner panel,.... installed?

Also, some sources claim there is a steel insert in the rubber, while others do not mention it. Any advice here?

    steele rubber says this:
Molded authentic rubber construction with metal core, this part does not include the chrome piece that attaches directly to the glass.

click the "matching vehicles" tab, maybe a chevelle part is cheaper on other websites
its the same part on other 68 to 72 gm hardtop/convertible a-body cars

I ordered mine at Cars, came with the steel inlay, was $18,50 three years ago. Quite satisfied with appearance and fit.

The chrome piece stays on the glass and the glass stays on the car. Nothing on the interior needs to be removed, just open the door. The rubber piece which is reinforced with metal (or not, depending on the vendor) installs by sliding up from the bottom. You may need a lubricant and some patience to get it to go.

Thank you guys, that is all I needed to know.
Now it is time to bite the bullet and have the parts, worth 19 USD, shipped to Germany for about 50 USD :-(
