So the carpet in my car is beyond being on its last leg. But only the drivers side. The rear half looks great and does the passenger side, but the drivers side is splitting been behind the rubber pad, it's just time for a new front half.

I dont need 100% factory correct material, just something nice to replace it.

Were can I find good products

ACC brand is the go to. I would find the correct part number for your car and punch it into google to see where you get the cheapest deal. In the past, I’ve had luck with 1auto, rockauto, or OPGI when they ran some time of holiday discount.

I bought a set off eBay, don't remember the seller (some car restoration specialists company), but carpet was factory correct loop, included the entire car (front and back), and came with the attached under-pad insulation (and the rubber mat under the gas/brake and the round hole for the dimmer switch). Seems like it was less than $150, but I remember I was surprised on how cheap it was. I always check eBay first cause they are usually the cheapest and most of the resto specialists sell their stuff on eBay now (Cars, inc., the Parts places, Motor City Muscle, in-line tube, etc.). And you don't have to guess what shipping charges will be.

There are some posts about ACC carpet being cut too short. I saw another post saying carpet supplied by Trim Parts Company having more length.

When you replace the front the back section will look old relative to the new piece. I would replace all.

I replaced mine 2 years ago. I can't remember who exactly but it was not one of those listed above. I had 3 issues: 1. Being in Australia it came rolled tight. I had to leave it out in my family room laid flat for about 3 weeks for it to start to loose it's rolled memory. Annoying but not a big issue. Issue #2. Once I did get it rolled out the moulding was not perfect. My front passenger footwell has a huge "lump" in it. The carpet won't sit flat, there is like a rockies mountain ridge across the whole section. Just that section. I tried heating it up and re-moulding it, never stays that way long. It's really annoying. Rest of the carpet was OK. 3rd issue was me, all me. I trimmed the carpet out of the car. I laid the original on it and trimmed the new one to match the original. Big mistake. I'm now about a 1/4" short of the sill panels at the doors. I had to make a small plate to cover the gap. My own stupidity. So advise. Trim the carpet once in the car.

Mine fit perfect, didn't have any issues. Watched a couple videos on installing, used lots of carpet adhesive, and trimmed it once it was in the car. Wish I could remember the brand... pay no attention to my dirty accelerator pedal.

What color? I have a brand new black front only. 4 speed or auto? It's technically correct for a 4 speed chevelle as the bulge is kinda big but could be cut and made to work under a console

I have installed a bunch. ACC and Trim Parts and no difference. Plenty of material on both. Never short. Always plenty to cut out. Never use adhesive on carpet. What a waste of time and money and your health breathing that ****! The factory didn’t use any adhesive why would you? Buy the basic carpet for column shift automatic even if four speed and console automatic. They just fit better. You need to cut it anyway at the hump. I find they fit better if you buy a roll of the foil back jute from a place like pep boys. Use under carpet in just the front like factory AC cars. It is great for heat insulation too. Just cut it away under gas pedal or pedal may not go all the way to floor. As far as carpet being rolled up just lay it out in the hot sun for an hour. It straightens it right out. Now is the time to do it. Take it from someone who has done a dozen or more. Just take your time and be careful where you cut.

The 2 carpet kits I have got all fade from black to a sort of red/purple in a couple years. Anyplace the sun shines. I dont remember the brands but it wasn't the same brand.
