I need to know the distance from the crankshaft flange flat area (not the flex plate lip or bung opening) to the face of the bell housing on a 57-63 nail head. Doing a transmission swap and need to know this dimension to properly space the new transmission torque converter to flexplate.
Yes, that will help. I can certainly now make an adapter to mate the buick crank to ST400 flexplate. (It has to be .6" thick to allow the 57-63 starter to be used correctly. After that, another adapter will be needed to mate to C4 flexplate. With what you have provided, I can now calculate the second adapter thickness. Thanks!
