Hope he got the VIN wrong...should being with a "4"...anywho, assuming the first digit is a "4", would break down as a 72 GS 350 4bbl (190 hp) built in Flint.

    thanks....

thanks......the car will need some core support work..BUT THANK THE GREAT POWERS THAT BE FOR THIS BOARD/FORUM...I know I will find all the info from here.....

first things first...it has 2 be parked in my garage in a few hours...

question: do 1972 GS's have a wing on the trunk or was it an option...or did someone just bolt it on?..the seller knows nothing about the gs..just that its been in storage for 6 years....was his dads car

    Re: thanks....

While it could have been a factory option in 71 (I'm not positive about '72's), more than likely it was bolted on by someone. Look for heavier spring bars to hold up the deck lid.

    Nice find! :TU:

    Pace car

    :Do No:
    Frank,
My 75 I rescued out of a salvage yard years ago. It had no decals and I didn't know what I had until I did research. I liked it because it was white, had t-tops and swivel buckets, and all options. Gave 300.00 for it solid. My 76 had documentation as being a parade car for the committee / drivers that year. This car had everything as well, and I dearly loved it. I had a rolled over 84 t-type that I traded for it and 500.00 to boot! When I got married, I sold them both for a down payment for the house(11 yrs ago). I've seen more 76's than 75's, and missed everyone on Ebay. I would love to have another some day because they are bright, bold, and noone knows what they are A living piece of history. It takes a special person for a Pace Car, quite a few people don't care for them. I'd estimate there are no more than a third of all replicas left. Have you been to the Sloan or to Indy to see the real deals? They are awesome!!! Eric

never been 2 sloan or indy....but soon...

am trying 2 find all pace car owners...only have located 5 with 76 pace cars..and 3 with 75 pace cars....only through the internet..and info and pictures I get from freinds that hit the shows .....my wild guesse is that about 10% are still around....and thats in good condition...
