i need to get some input on what is and people have hooked up to the #2146 Edelbrock intake for buick 455. Please tell me if i am right or where stuff is suppose to go. got no instructions:

    1. Temperature sensor ?
    2. vacuum port? (plug off?)
    3. heater hose?
    4. vacuum for trans? (using 350 trans)
    5. power disk booster ?
    6. no idea
    7. guessing throttle linage

i need to know what goes where and what is the best option to put what where. also would help on what fittings i need. 1/2" brass plugs i got. the stock 73 quadrajet is going on this. also is there a special grommet for the pcv valve made for the edelbrock intakes or will the standard off the cast iron 455 intake work? thanks

    7. Is throttle bracket
    6. You can plug
    2. Is coolant temp or the vacuum switch if you choose, in which case you would use 1 for coolant temp
    5.brake booster
1.plug or somewhat stock location of 5/8 heater hose
    3. Is where I run the 5/8 heater hose or coolant temp
    4.trans vacuum

6 is vacuum, are you going to retain the vacuum switch?

2 is a good location for a sender if you go with an electric fan or fuel injection.

The reason I don't use #1 for the 5/8 hose is its straight up not angled like the original intake and requires the hose to either sit up high or you can section in a molded hose, and if it's an AC car the you have valve to contend with which then if you use the GS breather it's in the way etc, looks cleaner using the rear water port imo

I need your help in regards to the thread sizes. Here is my current setup (stock)
    IMG_3732_low.jpg
I am converting to a TH200-4R, so I do not need vacuum. Accordingly (please confirm) I must plug # 4 and 6 of above picture and hook the powerbrake to #5. What size plugs do I need for #4&6?
As to the coolant I need to plug one of the three #1,2,3, right? In order to hook up the hose an elbow is probably the best choice. What is the size? Those imperial sizes are not available here in Germany, so I need to have them shipped along with the intake.
    Thanks

    THX!
Is anyone able to tell me based on the picture what size my heater hose is? Is there a standard size (5/8) , or do I have to measure it?

The hose to the intake is 5/8". The hose to the timing cover is 3/4"

Thank you guys, you are great! The hose to the power brake is 1/4, right?

AND, you should use the heavy walled hose made for power brakes. Regular hose will have a tendency to collapse with heat & strong vacuum.

My mistake, sometimes my left hand and my right hand do their own things without consulting my brain first :).
Larry is right, I edited my post accordingly.
