Wondering if the pads can be replaced on a nailhead rocker arm? If so, source for the pad? Thanks in advance for your advice.
Yes. I’ve purchased reconditioned rockers with new pads from Carmen Faso. Try Centerville http://centervilleautorepair.com/
Thanks Ted. Do you know if its possible to buy just the pad and I could replace myself? Rocker itself is in good shape, just the pad needs replaced/repaired.
It's been tough to find and buy the replacement pads individually. This company is well known for rebuilding rockers, give them a call: http://www.rockerarms.com/pages/rebuild.html
They can ALSO be refaced. Careful on the repo tips MANY times they are too thick compared to original which can cause MANY valvetrain problems.
.010"-.020" MAX. They are hardened & need to be ground to the proper radius. I have 48 in stock now @$8.50 each plus shipping costs. Tom T.
