Ok on this 66 wildcat 401 nailhead how is the power steering pump pulley on
And how do I remove it .
Do I have to remove all the brackets to the engine and use a puller.
Or once nut is off I can tap the pulley off.

Most auto parts stores have "loaner" pullers.

It is much easier to take the time to go get one, than fuss with trying to pull it without and then go get the danged thing after the swearing, busted knuckles and bouncing the hammer against things you don't want to bounce hammer against...

Most of the time when you remove the nut, and gently tap on the pulley with a rubber hammer it may come off. Mine did not. Be carful in using a 3 jaw puller behind the belt area of the pulley, you may bend it. I made a 3/4 inch plywood about 9' square and cut a U slot in it, put that behind the pulley and drilled two holes outward on either side and used a channel iron with the same holes with two long bolts to tighten and remove the pulley.

Hey Joe... Isnt there a grabber ring on the hub just below the nut and lock washer? If so, this puller is what youd use. If not, before you start beating on a part of unobtanium, put a little heat on the hub to loosen up the bore a few thousandths. If you have to tap on the shaft, LEAVE THE NUT STARTED AND USE BRASS. Didja try RTFM? They probably recommend taking the pump to the press and supporting the pulley with the front mounting plate against the pulley, with 2 bars across the beam on the press for a nudge. Soak it up real good first! ws
