Nailhead Parts, & Info

    :bglasses: This in regards to a few of you, who were looking for nailhead valve covers, (custom) offenhauser, makes them & according to rod and custom magazine, they also have the dual quad high rise intake. and they also stated they purchased a finned aluminum valley cover from mooneyes. that match the valve covers for the , 60s look. i got this info. online about 2 months ago.( Perfomance- Rebuilding a buick nail head. by rod & custom staff. Part 1 ) i tryed the links & cant pull up Part 2. maybe,? one of you can find it. i know BOTH. Mooneys. & offenhauser, are both still in buiss. they both have web sites Small...... but there. ( i have not looked in to this any further other than the sites .. ) mooneyes.com & you may have to play with puter for offenhauser. kanter.com has rebuild kits for the nail heads,,,,, not to mention brakes, & other goodys.     I went with a friend of mine to the Syracuse Nationals (street rods) over the weekend. He was looking for stuff for his 425 nailhead engine. We finally spotted some finned aluminum valve covers and matching valley cover - can't remember the vendor's name though.:Dou:

    If I remember, I'll ask him as soon as I see him.:)

    Also, check out my post in 'the Bench' about Lane Custom Products. They can custom make some really cool valve covers for the nailheads -- better be sitting when you see the price though -- $340/pr. Some of the strongest v.c. I've seen!:TU:

    GUYS,

    I believe that TA Performance offers Reproduction Finned "BUICK" covers for $259.00 and they are selling them now as we speak.
