It's a eBay tuning EFI module, with integrated turbo and NOS, which ads 10-30% horsepower/torque and improves mileage 30-50%, also prevents cold starts and running out of fuel..

Solid state flux capacitor. Not as nice looking as an original, so might as well mount it under the hood.

It appears to be a CDI (capacitor discharge ignition) box. I built one made by Bay from a kit around 1969 and mounted it in roughly the same location on a 63 Vette. I need a better picture to see if it has transistors mounted on the case. If it does not, I would say it is a security alarm system.

It's not mine Shawn. I lifted that pic from the '67 GS ragtop for sale lead ad. I was just wondering what the heck it is.

The Mud Wrestlers movie was from Firesign Theatre . They were reading TV guide to see what was on. The description of the movie was : " A Nuclear Phyistist finds he has strange desires ""

It's an early prototype B.B.O.A.D.I.I.S. (Billy Beer Onboard Alcohol Detection Ignition Interrupter).

I use to build them out of clay and popcile sticks and sell them at my lemonade stand to cover my overhead .

    Yer welcome:rolleyes:

    BUQUICK I'm your huckleberry.

I spoke to the seller about this car and I did ask about the little Carter box. He said he has already removed it but it was connected to the vacuum advance. There is a temperature sensor inside the box and it was connected to a 12V power source. He said it wasn't designed to enhance performance but instead is for altering emissions and/or fuel economy. He said the original owner kept the original Carter paperwork and it was with the car when he got it.

By the way, the color combo is correct and original to this car, Midnight Blue, red interior, and white top. Blue paint with red interior was not shown as a recommended nor acceptable combination on the literature for the '67 GS400. I suspect someone had to place a special order to get the unusual combination. It's interesting to say the least and quite possibly the only one built.
