It looks rough, my wife hates it, and it's going to cost a whole bunch to fix, but I wouldn't part with my 66 Special for anything. The floorpan will need some work.
Hi Jim The wagon does't look that bad and from the looks of the one beside it , its in good hands , Good luck Bill
Will do. Right now, I am limiting myself to looking for parts and pulling it apart. The Chevelle has has a ring problem I want to fix before I start dropping too much money into the Buick. In the meantime, anybody know where I can find a rear bumper for a 66 Wagon? I have been told the bumper from a 66-67 Buick Wagon or Olds F85 Wagon will fit.
[I like it, a friend of mine in Phoneix has one like that same collor and all. I liked it so much I starded keeping my eyes open for one thats what led me to my 65 sport wagon. The blue looks good when it is fresh. :TU: Oh I like the chevy too. I guess you might not want a pair of blue cars. I haven't chosen a color for the wagon yet. Its supposed to be midnight blue, but my Chevelle is blue. I've toyed with a light green, or red after seeing that 65. BF2KNIGHT, I'll try to scrounge up a picture of the other half of my garage.
I like it Jim, looks like a good home for a big block if I ever saw one. Good luck on the rear bumper, I'll keep you in mind if I hear of anything. Keep us updated.
Now to figure out where to stop pulling it apart. I'd love to strip it to the bare frame and do it right, but I don't want to wait five or six years before driving it.
