" ... FIRST-AND-FOREMOST; I LOVE AMERICAN MUSCLE CARS ... ESPECIALLY THEM DAMN BUICKS :beers2:!!! While on vacation in PR a couple of days ago, my girl & I were about to enter Don Pepe's for breakfast ... and I "smelled" this Plain-Jane "4-door" ... UGLY Mazda. The owner/builder "Alexis" of PR was as nice a guy can be, and was excited to show me his car ... top to bottom. He said he runs low 11's with his turbo/intercooled STEALTHY Mazda. That thing has a HUGE turbocharger! He also showed me his "homemade" intercooler "cooling system." I thought it was nitros oxide plumbing. He stated that he fills the cooler-canister/tank for $6. Alex LOVESSSS Buick Grand Nationals. I mentioned my Buick 455 project Regal (he loved it ... wants pics), and I put him on to V8BUICK.COM!!!:beers2: No shots-fired, Please (lol) ... I just wanted to share a lil "car-guy-vacation-find."ou: I'm out!
Pretty cool. People are people everywhere and two car guys will find each other every time! Love to see what other people have done. Thanks for posting!
The PR guys are highly respected among the Mazda rotary enthusiasts, claiming many 1/4 mile records..... http://www.angelfire.com/tn/tavin/rotary.html
This is TRUE! My girl is from PR ... and I have asked her many-a-times, "How come Y'all know how to take-the-paint-off-a-car ... and put-it-back-in-the-can!????" Genius!:idea2:The Buick Grand National specialist in Brooklyn name is ... RAUL! He also did minor work on my gray Buick 455 Regal. He stated that he raced Buick 455's first ... back when Scotty at Pee-Gee was doing the same. Thanks for NOT bashing me. Gimme-a-BUICK-any-day!!!:3gears:
