yeah aaron, i just tell them i have a 75 "nova". dont tell them you have a skylark or they will refer you to the A body catalog.
Thanks Dan, I've been trying to think of little things to do on mine during the winter, so car i have a list but haven't done anything. How much did you pay for your kicker panels? I looked under a '75 and a '78 and didn't see them on their list.
They called me about5 weeks ago and told me that they have the original style panels in (w/o speakers). they are part #9614815 for the left and 9614814 for the right. and go for 109.95 each. The ones I have (with the speakers) are K628 and go for 189.99 a pair. comes with pioneer speakers and sound prety good. if they are sold out (because they only make a few of these at a time) get put on the waiting list and they will call you when they become availiable. i am on line for a bunch of things and i get phone calls occasionally.
Minor updates have been made to the car during the winter. mainly upgrading the sound system and a few ammeneties. added small led lights to the door handles that come on at night with the headlights. added a new stero with i-pod attachment that will go in the glove box. and tweeters to the door panels. Still need to be "tweeked"
Hi Dan, what a beautifully car, I might "borrow" some of your ideas, But where on earth did you get your hands on these lights, (is it sealed or H4?) I have been looking for something like that for a looong time now. Brgds
I have them on my car too, you can find them on Amazon just search for Skylark Halos, they are not sealed.
I will be there! got everything sent in, this week is going to be spent on getting little things ready, hopefully this time we can park the X-Bodies by each other!
Hey Dan, hope all is well, I've been thinking Seriously about doing bucket seats, and I keep forgetting what you got yours from, and if they were bolt on or if you had to modify the tracks!
MY seats are from a nova and a 70 something camaro. i wanted the stock look, so i found a set of original brackes and welded them in. In doing that i didnt need to mess with the tracks. but, it was alot of work! finding the brackest wasnt easy, seperating the original brackets from the floor boards was very difficult. but if you find a welder, you can do it, just time consuming.
