Very impressive, just a nice combination. Just curious if you have ever tried other carbs??? I have never seen a demon run strong at both ends of the track.:idea2: Looks like Mission raceway in one of the pics:grin:

Only a couple of passes to try some of the new MT radial slicks.

I've been focused more on trying to make some headway on the new motor.

They were good. Unfortunately I didn't get to try them back to back with a bias tire but they repeated in 60ft on a Wednesday night when they don't do much prep.

that's our local test track ,mission is actually world class... I haven't tried a different carb on this engine ive been borrowing it for 5 years or more ..that being said ive had just about every carb under the moon before 1000hp 1050 dom 850 dp etc.. the demon actually works not too bad ...decent driveability and decent power ,that being said I have been eying up a new prosystems 1000 4150 because eventually I need to give this carb back lol. maybe just maybe a dominator only if I switched to say a Chrysler intake but that's not happening anytime soon

  11. Adam,

    Congrats on the great numbers.

What's your clutch and flywheel setup? Is it a slipper set up? multi disc?

How does the clutch react at launch?

yes its an adjustable clutch from adavanced(rob youngblood) low base pressure around 880 pounds with some counterweight on the levers....single 10 in disc

  13. I've heard great things about him and his setups. Obviously they work well in heavy cars.

Thanks for the info. I'll probably be picking your brain at some point, once I get the new combo in the car.

be happy to answer any of your questions.....there is a new clutch out from ACE looks good as well

  15. Smokey15

Smokey15 So old that I use AARP bolts.

I much prefer a three finger (oft referred to as Borg&Beck*) style clutch, even though most of the newer style diaphram style clutches will take a lot of abuse. The three finger style, in some cases, can be great exercise for the left leg.
*Borg&Beck manufactures clutches for those not familiar.

Adam, what pedal and throwout bearing set up are you running with that clutch?

Also what rpm do you shift this beast at?

    Cheers!

Hey Mark, from reading the whole post, it's looks like he's banging gears at 6900-7100 rpm.
