Frank, Great Job!!! I cannot wait to see it run! What will the car weigh? Next year is going to be an exciting year for the Buick community. Lots of new cool cars will be debuted and certainly the ET records will fall drastically!
Great job Frank!! We're definitely entering a new era in the Buick drag racing world. Nothing against the turbo 6's, but their 8 second rides won't have as much "impact" as they once did! NA big blocks will rule! Then wait until more follow Rod down the "boosted" road and we'll have some very "potentially fast" Buick's out there!! Cant wait to see some of the new cars run next year!! Great job Frank.. the car looks beautiful!! Steve
Thank You everybody!! Rob G, Scotty G and I celebrated into the night.. I'll have my hands full for the next couple of months getting the car ready for the up coming race season. Sitting out 2 years wasn't fun.. When is the first day of spring?
Getting close... Snug as a bug in rug. I'm hoping by the end of the month..ray: Header building pics and the car sits so low that they had to build a wheelie bar tunnel.
3 plus years out of the drivers seat and I finally made it to a test n tune last Saturday along with the Northeast GS/GN club for B.O.P day. After a shake down pass of 9.12 the car felt good. So my second pass I was able to click off 8.41@165. She might have a little more in her but I'm going to enjoy what ever time she gives me.. I have to thank everybody that supported me. It's a big list..I showed up to the track alone with no crew, no ATV with a car set-up that you need at least 2 people to handle. Between them beating down pontiacs and Oldsmobiles they were helping me with my car. I'll say it till I'm blue in the face The Northeast GS/GN club in filled with awesome people! I'm not a big Facebook guy but I hear there's a bunch of photos over there there's also some on at dragway.com click on pictures then B.O.P. day and scroll thru. There's alot of great shots of all the buicks. I didn't take any photos I was too busy holding the wheel! Lol.. Thanks again for all the support.
Sweetness! You may show up at the track alone, but once you get there a crew appears. Just the good people most racers are. Glad all went well.
