It wasn't easy keeping this quiet until arrival. Just one member was aware because he's always on top of most Buick exchanges. That's right, the "crack spider" Chris himself. Chris was actually trying to help me locate a certain car but this one came up on the board and I jumped. It got here yesterday evening after a cross country trip. 1971 Stage 1 - Rosewood over black. Buckets, auto w/console, non-air car. Just over 54,000 documented miles. My son "snapped" the last picture and added his comments.
This car was owned by a couple collectors prior to my getting it. They kept it in great shape and took care of some minor issues. Matching numbers with the exception of the transmission. It has the correct distributor, carb, and rear. I believe there are a few older threads about this car on the forum. I haven't had a chance to take many pictures so here are some from the prior owner.
Sweet what part of California did the car come from... I would like to have that front license plate added to my collection.. Also I wonder if that plate would be available now through California dmv
The car came out of Bakersfield. I would guess the Stage 1 plate would now be available in CA. And sorry Joe, I'm keeping this one.
Nice... Bakersfield not far from me... Now on the plate you have the back one I get the front one for my collection..trades on items maybe...just messing around congratulations on the ride..
Pretty sure the prior owner was a member here. I seem to recall him having a Boss 429 Mustang also. Sweet car. Did Chamberlain own it once too?
The previous owner asked to keep the one on the front otherwise I would certainly work with you Joe. Get to the DMV and claim that tag!
You're right, one of the previous owners posted on here. He had a couple nice cars and one was a Boss 429. The paperwork I have does not show Chamberlain's name anywhere but that doesn't mean he didn't own it at one time.
I remember this car. Looked at it in 06 at that place outside Chicago. Can't think of the name. Its surfaced several times since then. Very nice car!!
