So last year around this time I bought a 70 455 short block from Devin a fellow board member.
Dad had heads and intake and exhaust manifolds....
So I sent the heads out to get redone finally got them back ....make note to self don't tell the machine shop no hurries...
Found some headers and valve covers from another member as well .
I don't have a car for it yet but I decided to try something different.
Nothing is really bolted up all the way and I still need to sand the valve covers the top section.

    Buick Blue...!

I had to belt sand those Poston v/covers flat because the were so wonky...how are yours sealing?

I had those valve covers once, went BUICK red, took a fine grit belt sander across the top to take the paint off the raised parts then clear leaving that aluminum accent and BUICK.

There's no law that an engine has to be painted factory colors; it looks nice!

Ryans-GSX Have fun, life is short.

Joe I have to say I really like that. What colors did you use ? I may want to do something like that with my 350 in my Retro GS. My engine was dark blue when it was shown back in the 80's but I like the contrast look you have going right there.

That chrome aluminum on the heads and intake make you do a second look! I can hear guys at shows whispering "Thats a secret Buick design from back then VERY rare!"... I'll give it a 10! Go big or go home, right Joe? ws
