This is my 1970 Skylark, I bought it off the origional owner and got a great deal. It was bone stock until I got my hands on it. I've put on new wheels and tires, headers and 2-1/2 dual exhaust, sterio system, and recently a GS hood. I am planning on some mild motor work to the 350 later, but first i have to do some body work (minor rust and a few dents dents) and then paint it. It has the origional gold paint, but I am debating on weither I should paint it a different shade of gold or change the color. The gold paint has really grown on me and it stands out everywhere, but a lot of people say that it is ugly. I think that Olympic Gold with GS black stripes on the hood would look really nice. What do you guys think?

Looks very good! I would leave it the original color, but then again I would keep most any car it's original color. I think I would probably stray away from putting the stripes on it, that seems to be one of the first things everyone does with their hot rod buick, but buicks have always been a little more classy than that. Always a wolf in skeep's clothing. Keep it the original color, no stripes, no spoiler. That's just my $.02:TU:
