John is absolutely right. Just get that thing running and on the road. I took my car apart 7 years ago when I was 16 and it will just be getting back on the road this spring because I fell victim to the "overambition" and "while I'm here I might as well do this too" that he spoke of. I'm definitely glad I got everything done to my car that I did, but I'd rather have done it slowly each winter and had seven more years of driving time!!! Excellent food for thought.

Oh, and take advantage of the fact that your dad is willing to help you!!! I did my car completely by myself and it took way longer than it would have if I had someone knowledgeable helping me. Like for instance when I took out the old 350 and just hacked off all the wires that were connected to it and didn't bag any parts......:Dou:

    no picture update but:

the left innnerfender is mostly down to bare metal,

the left front fender is being welded on the bottem.

All the paint is off of the roof, down to the reddish\brownish\orange primer\glue? I dont know what it is but theres no more red its that primer\glue and grey.

Cant wait for carlisle to see if we can score some parts.

Wow, didnt realize this hasnt been updated in a while. My dad is working on the lower left fender making patches for the structure and the skin. The structure is done and the skin is coming along nicely. Im running around the car with a razor blade taking off the red paint down to the primer. parts list updated also.

We are now receiving help from Brian, he is on the board and owns a beautiful 70 stage 1 4 speed, and my friend Kevin who is learning with us.

The 75 Eldorado went to the POS 69 Riv GS's spot
The 69 Riv GS went to the other 69 Rivs spot
The 69 Riv went to the 73 Rivs spot
The 73 Riv went to the 63's spot.

Shiny! I need to get a few more spots on the top still, I'd say another hour of taking off that ugly primer.

Our new 80 gallon compressor works great! I wish my dads welding was as good as the compressor works. Hes getting better though.

Im taking the entire quarter back down to bare metal.

Paint remover was just applied to the other half of the trunk lid so the trunk lid should be down to bare metal completly next sunday.
