    I like the heat crossover fill. Looks like they really straightened out the intake runners. You have a nice view of the valve!

    Make sure to get the flow numbers of those heads! They look good.

    FLOW = 267 @ .600 INTAKE / 197 @ .600 EXHAUST

    With only a .550" lift cam you're not utilizing that 267 CFM of flow.

    What are the flow numbers below the .600" max flow lift?

    Aint no reason he can't swap to a higher lift cam in the future... But now would be the perfect time to. How much lift can the stock valve guides handle before the retainers hit? .500?

    alec296 i need another buick

    Move up to roller . I would assume he’s flowing around 255-260 at least at 550. Still more then enough to make good power. The 413 cam would be good there.

    Why pay for porting and not use all of it? IMO he needs another .100" more lift to get the most out of the porting he paid for.

    If he is going to use a roller cam he can get the lift up there without having to go crazy with the duration. Unlike how a flat tappet would have to be ground so the ramp isn't so aggressive it wipes the lobe out in one rotation if it were ground that way.:eek:

    Go with the non-wimpy cams.......bought this before you Mark! Almost 10 years ago. Maybe I'll post another vid of the raspy sound tomorrow. It's smoothing out some....:D:D:D

    Yes, it was very cold in the middle of the Huron National Forest all last week!
    No TV, no internet, no cell phone. Everything was great except the last no...

    No deer....(yet!) :mad:

    I called TA today and Tim said my cam should be in very soon, then they ship it. Its been 2 weeks so far. He said it takes 2-4 weeks depending on workload at Crower.

    Crower is backed up. No ETA but Tim is going to give them a followup call today and see what's going on.

    He said they just got a bunch of flat tappet's in, hopefully the rollers will be coming soon!

    It's been 4 weeks now

    MI winters are cold and long. You've got plenty of time ahead.
    If all else fails, I've got a spare roller cam for you!:)
