Since he did the hood, deck lid, fenders, and doors before the car came home. I would expect the outside of the car will be done by the end of April or middle of May since I will need to get some things done before he can finish though. Im not sure about the interior I might take more time since no rush really as long as I can drive her a few times:) Just got a call that my bumpers are complete and waiting for me to pickup as well:TU:

Did you change the sending units over to work with the gauges? They're different units.

Very nice build by the way. Wish I had that kind of room to work on mine.

I never got to check out the other gauges since I couldn't get the fuel gauge to work on it.

Well found out we are within two weeks or so to paint. The body is really looking good. Well finally looked at the tranny that came with the car and verified that the turbo 350 matched so i guess i won't get rid of it now. Verified that the original bench with armrest and the hurst shifter has enough clearance so out come the buckets and the original bench going in! Sorry no new pics yet.

Gary- good news about the paint. Joe has cut in all my doors and edges. Paint going on very soon.

Awesome Randy...yours might be painted before mine! He decided he didn't like a few of the lines and wanted to fix them so hopefully he will have that done this week. He said the car is going to come out too nice that he is now looking at renting a paint booth to shoot her. well my interior has been ordered and hopefully everything will be completed in the next couple of weeks. Once this car is painted things should move pretty quick. Only problem the car has been sitting so long from the previous owner and since I owned it leaks are starting...oil pump is leaking now...

    Hi All,
no pictures yet since my body man's wife have not burned them on a cd but things are going on fast now. I went over today and sandblasted the front inner fender wells for him. My car is together and he fixed all lines and cut everything in. She is really starting to look good. Cowl and dash is all painted as well. Best news is I found a paint booth to spray her very reasonably. So she should be painted within two weeks.I will try to get some of my pics off my cell. Well I fixed the oil leak and did it right with some great advice from the board. Added the plate etc and when she is warm at idle still getting over 20 lbs of pressure.

Along as the weather permits FRIDAY is finally the big day to paint. Here are a few picks of the car ready. Put a new front window in since the old one was separating. Put the old back glass in its a little rough but original glass so I left it for now. The column and dash have been painted. Finally finished the grill as well...its a NOS that was are argent. I painted it etc and it turned good in my book. Should have some pictures friday of her all painted!!

Well rain threatened but the car is FINALLY painted! Here a few pics of many I took going through the phases today. We rented a shops booth for half the day and once buffed out she will look really good in my opinion. Still have lots to do as well!

I'm envious. Other than a 70 Saturn yellow GSX stage1 car my next all time dream car would be a non-a/c, buckets 70 GS350 4 speed car.

Several years ago(more like 8) there was one for sale in the car corral at the Speedway spectacular car show in Daytona and although in my opinion not a stunner in the color combo department(silver with a black vinyl roof and matching interior), I lusted over that car all day. I think they were asking $8900 for it and I was about $8899 short.

Long live the underrated and unrespected Buick 350 :3gears:
