    Hi folks,

So, I am building a 455 to go into my 67 GS-400. TA 288-98H cam, full length headers, ported heads.......I am thinking it will be under 500 HP? My tranny is a stock Muncie 4 Speed. Am I ok in terms of strength? No drag racing, just street driving. Thanks.

If your M20 is in proper operating condition it will be fine

Street driving you will be fine as long as nothing is already worn/broke/on the verge of failure in the transmission. The tires will spin before you break anything (the majority of the time anyway). Get it to hook on a sticky track and that'd be another story...

My car made 540/570 and my m21 is surviving so far with just a mostly stock rebuild and a few minor upgrades. But it wouldn't live at the drag strip, hence why the car hasn't made a pass (yet).
