most effective engine cooling set-up

    ...at idle or cruise.

    WFO blasts can raise the temperature.

    Yes, I have always noticed that at the track. First thing I do is look at all my gauges in the shut down section of the track. Temp is usually around 195 but rapidly decreasing.

    Just took this reading.
    AC running
    5 mile drive in city traffic
    86* ambient
    Idling away around 600 rpm in park
    180* thermostat

    You've given me some good maintenance to do right now and some good ideas for (not too distant) future upgrades. I really appreciate it!

    Listen to Larry! He helped me to get my 210 degree 464 GSX Stage 1 down to 170 and it never goes above 185!
