Do all '66 8.2s (skylark/GS) have 28 spline axles? Also, I've read some conflicting info. Does the '66 8.2 have the same size bearings on both sides or ...? If a carrier is advertised as fitting all '64 through '71 BOP can this be true? Thanks guys
the buick 8.2 rears have 28 spline axles and i belive 27 spline pinion gear. a 64-70 pontiac or olds carrier will fit the 64-67 buick 8.2 and they will have same bearings on both ends of carrier. the only ones (for Buick) that use two different size bearings are the 68-70 8.2 differentials if the carrier you are looking at has same size bearings and is an 8.2 then it will fit your 66 skylark rear.
