I do understand you need adapter plates in order for this to work. Do you solely look at 440 intake manifolds? I know some of use the Indy manifolds. Thank you for any information you could provide.
440 RB intakes... stay away from the Max Wedge ports unless you want to do a lot of filling, those ports are too big. Did a Edebrock 2954 Victor intake last summer, it turned out nice.. Considerably less work than the Indy 3X intake.
Thanks Jim. .. I'm assuming the stage one stage 2 SE, TE, and Stage 3/4 would work? Actually that's the same intake, 2954, I'm looking at right now.
I had a set I bought from Mike Phillips years ago that I sold to SS4825 years ago. He may still have them and want to sell.
The first picture I posted is of a MOPAR intake for a 383 and you will notice the adapter plates and valley pan plate is there. The second picture is a CH4B for a 440 that I have modified to the corrected angle to fit the 455 heads and there is a valley pan under it. I need to finish welding it together. The third picture of the Three Duce manifold is for a 440 and to utilize it for a Buick, one would need to make adapter plates and include the valley pan. It would be more suited for raised port heads.
