I have been going through TCP Global for most of my paint because it's easy to do it online, but I am looking for a base that is higher quality than their Restoration line. I have a PPG dealer that I get all my local stuff, so I want to get it there.

Does anyone have access to this?

How you feel about spraying single stage? I prefer it for solid colors 90% of the time

Concept is so much fun to spray, you can cocktail some activated DC4000 or 2021 clear in the last coat and it will lay stupid flat and super deep

It's been years since I did any single stage. The only solid color I have sprayed in the last 15 years is the white work vans and trucks we use at work.

91FE64F6-379F-4F33-B7C2-B85CF990E355.jpeg Single stage is easy. The key is making sure prep is right and environment is clean. Reds are bleeders you better seal entire car. Use slow hardeners ( High Temp ) let the paint flow . That way you don’t have to work hard as you are walking around car. Let the solvent do the work. Then when you mix your clear make sure it’s not cheap clear
Use their glamour clear. Mix paint clear no more than 50% on last coat. Of course first (2) coats should be just color. Just do (3) coats . Last coat 50%. No more. Then next day 600 wet sand DO NOT.sand through. Then prep with good water / alcohol cleaner for fish eyes from finger touch. And cleaning wet sand juice. Then solvent wipe. Hang chain on rear axle for a good ground. Before painting. When arm goes back n forth you will create static charge. Remember cars have (4) rubber tires . And never use tack rags that feel sticky to hands. DuPont makes excellent tack rags.

That car will look like you plugged it in an outlet. Basecoat solids will not bling or glow that way. They stay very pastel.

Just so you know Adam Painting is not hard. It’s like tying shoes. My wife says a monkey can do it! Hah! The reason why guys get good at painting is because they screw a lot of paint jobs up. Seldom does,a young guy come along and light the world on fire painting cars! If he does it’s because he’s a natural. What I’ve learned in 30 years of painting . It’s all in the solvent (1) The BEST paint $$$ (2) Sray gun does all the work not you(3) Sata RP. If you use a Sata RP ( with fan open all the way ) turn back fan a smidge to get little bit narrower ( because fan needs to be full only on high metallics) and lastly when heat and humidity climb the charts. Put one coat on and go smoke
