Two of my customers noted when installing these new spindles, earlier in the year, that the holes were not machined correctly. Def need to follow up on this, before commenting more. Will say this.. personally, I do not like Chinese cast iron (cast steel). Have inspected numerous of the new cast steel cranks that after having to have them turned down, they were "soft". Whether the new spindles are made out of same "bottle cap junk"... time will tell.

Been buying the repro dustshields for last 7-8 years. Will continue to do so, & have the very best original dust shields replated for concours cars. On disc conversion kits we put together, for spindles, am using #1 quality used GM spindles, & nice used caliper brackets. Both spindles & caliper brackets are ck'ed for straightness. The nicest used caliper brackets, I have replated. Ones that are slightly pitted, we usually prep & paint & use on lesser detailed cars.

    Roger,

Thanks for the info. What does a conversion usually run for you. I am trying to put together a safe driver.

    Thanks, Scott
