Mini Console

I am looking for a black Mini Console to go between the bucket seats. Must be in good condition I have some parts for trade if interested. It is for a 1970 G.S.

 

Mini consoles were introduced in the 72 model year. They have an accordion door opening on the front and differ from pre-72 consoles which have a top hinged door. There was a mid year change for the 70 consoles. If you want a 70, you may want to specify if you prefer type 1 or type 2. Type 1 has the clamshell door with the emblem while type 2 has the push button latch style door.

I think what your looking for is a shorty console. Top pic is of a 1971 with the push button. Bottom pic is 1965-1970. Note the bottom one has a tri shield emblem with no button.

 

Looks like the bottom one is the one I need. Is it for sale

 

I have a brown one that has the button. You would need to die it what ever color your int is.
