I was working on the 72 GS convertible today and needed to make an auto part store run. Being filthy, I hopped in the beater and drove to the local Auto Zone in town. Didn't want to get the Scat Pack dirty! Naturally, I was wearing the BPG tee shirt with the big GS on the back, so I was easy to recognize. Met Frank, aka "gres67GS" from the board. Frank struck up a conversation with me about the beater and told me about his 67 GS 340. Never thought I'd meet a member at the local parts store! Hopefully we'll meet up again at one of the local car get togethers.
About 15 years ago, I bumped into my financial advisor at Autozone ..... apparently he worked there on weekends. That didn't instill too much confidence in his abilities, but overall he did okay with my savings for the years I used him.
I ran into a guy at the Car Craft Nationals one year at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds. I think his name was Jim Weiss or something like that, ever hear of him?
