Hey guys, just wondering if anyone can give me some insight on the proper adjustment for the control rod for a Switch Pitch on a '63 Dynaflow transmission? This is not an electrical connection like a ST300 or ST400 has. It is literally a threaded rod connected to the carb throttle arm and then to the trans. Done a lot of searching and come up with all kinds of different stuff on the later transmissions with the electrical controller, but can't seem to find anything specifically for the older mechanical adjustment on a Dynaflow. Just want to make sure mine is adjusted proper as I've never checked it and I'm getting ready for my big yearly show/road trip in the Riviera. Thanks for your time!

EDIT: I did find these instructions on a site called hometownbuick.com but it won't let me copy and paste. The instructions are for a '58. Does this look right for a '63?

    Lucas,

The way I normally did the adjustment was to hold WOT. Then push the detent rod ALL the way reward as far as it will go adjust the rod so that when it's installed it will be a tight fit on the rod/stud from the carb. Then turn the adjustment one more turn to lengthen the rod & your done.
