First Park on Park of the year. A pre 1977 event with usually around 500 cars and a couple of thousand people in attendance. More info at http://www.parkonpark.com/
Tony, I was at this show a few years ago in September, on "Buick night." Will you ever be having a night like that again? I could not find a list of featured cars, on the link. Has the format changed? Although I live close, I am not a regular, sorry for being ignorant. Regards, John.
Hey John, probably not doing feature nights any more except for odd ball low draw stuff. The problem is space. The lot I used to dedicate to feature cars I am having to use for regular attendance since people are arriving earlier and earlier, and certain lots I can not use until 6:00. It is a big juggling act between keeping the Village and the local merchants happy. If I do a Packard night, or an AMC night it is a relatively low draw which we can accomidate and still have space. Because the event is becoming so popular a Buick night or Pontiac night is just too many cars that I can't fit in the lot I like to use for feature cars. Conversely as soon as you say featuer night people want special treatment which is just tough to provide. When we started and were a 200 car draw 8 years ago, no problem. Now with the average around 500 cars and 4000 people, it is tough to do. Hope you decide to come down, it is a great event for our town, and people really seem to enjoy it. For my club and I it is pretty much like throwing a party at your house; alot more work that fun, but it is great to see enthusiasts getting together.
Next Park on Park is on June 11. We are also hosting a Satrurday July 5th car show at the same venue. Hours are 1 - 5. This will be a big departure for us, but will be alot of fun. Free admission for all show cars. Different rules than the cruise night: no age restrictions on vehicles awards to the top 6 vote getters no classes patricipant vote dash plaques to the first 300 cars More info at parkonpark.com. Take care Tony
