Got pictures of my partually completed "kit" that should be making it's way to me soon.

Will post up dates to hopfully get more kits sold to others.

Plan on having the car at BG with it put on "out of the box".

I just saw the pic of your engine. Looks nice. Don't you think and Aluminum block would look better than that iron one? LOL.

The engine you see in the picture is not mine.

That is an engine being used for the set up by the shop.

Tempting to get one of the aluminum engines, but if I brought one we both will be looking for a place to call home

There's Michael, in his ragged clothes, pushing a shopping cart around with a blown Aluminium BBB. I would be in the same boat!

I like the size of the idler pulley. That is a better setup than my ATI spring loaded one. I find that I am flexing my bracket about .01 Can you do a side view? How are you coming an all the other details? It will seem endless!

I wanted to do something to it today, so I put it back together to start with just the new carburetor (Quick Fuel 750 blow-through).

I set carburetor and made timing adjustments

Maybe it is because of the cam that is in it (TA310), but it ran pretty good.

It is only a 750 since that is what I was told all I would need with the Procharger.

First time it has been out of the garage this year and boy was it dusty.

Drove it to the gas station to put in five gallons of gas.

Idling in park does fine but driving it down the road is ........ well. It loads up while going down the road and when I tried to clear it out, it brakes the tire loose.

At stop signs, it brakes the tires loose.

I think the rear end already hates me.

Are you running a wideband 02 sensor?

Bobb M said he had to go down 4 jet sizes when he used my carb on the 370 SBB. We will have to see how the 650 compares with the 750 for mostly street use.

Also check the float level on the QuickFuels. Mine was off the chart high out of the box.

    No,

    not with a carburetor

Mainly I wanted to see how it would run with just the carburetor.

Did/Have you ran your engine with out blow any air to it?

The power valves were open at crusing speed

I was wondering where to set the floats. They were really high. I put them in the middle of the sight glass.

Float level in the middle is perfect. Make sure fuel pressure is a nice constant 6to7 psi.

Been thinking about the power valve. I think it is a 4.5 so should not be coming open at cruise. If it does open without boost it should be rich as the power valve channels are bigger on a blow through carb.

I expect we will both have a lot of tuning going on this summer. Now if only the weather will cooperate. I have to go get some propane so I can work on the car today... it's snowing:af:

Started mine up a few hours ago with the 650 QF. Seems to be great at idle. Did not touch a thing since Bobb ran it on Anthonys motor. Idles at 850 and has 12 inches vacuum. AF guage was around 14:1 at idle. Did not drive it yet weather is crap. A light rap of the throttle and it sounds like a super mod. Looking for another place to get vacuum for the bypass valve and better weather.

doug you need to be getting that pop off signal from the manifold. you prob. have a fitting on top of a runner just add a fitting and add line. then go do some big burnnies:TU:

    Doug,

    What intake are you using?

I have an older B4B (has both patterens though).

Mine idled at 11 1/2 inches of vacume.

    Bobb,
I was using the vac source off the carb and it is ported not direct. So yes going direct to the manifold. I need a vacuum tree, PVC, brakes, bypass, and timing dial back. Fuel regulator ties to the carb hat.

Main thing yesterday was to make sure all the fluids were not going on the garage floor. I think I should get stock in oil dry.

    Micheal,
I use a SP-1 manifold. Only problem with the thing is the limited hood clearance.

    Day one.

Have the main part on the motor.

For the most part everything is going as planed, but there are issues.

Maybe it is because of the way I already had things set up is the reason for some.

Got some done today. The unit and new water pump are on for good.

Thought I had all the belts lined up,but the alternator has it own plan.

    Time for bed..............

On to the making of new radiator hoses.
