So the pump and hose arrived. I will try to do the hose for the tank myself very soon. I will have the pros do the pump. Is the pump gasket suppose to literally be this little cardboard looking piece? It seriously looks and feels like cardboard.

Hey guys, okay all is fixed and now finally it is a great running car. One thing I want to get your opinion on. I just had the mechanic do it all and the rear vent hoses he wrapped in tin foil or some sort of foil. He claims this will be like a heat shield since the hoses are so close to the custom exhaust. I always thought foil would attract heat, keep heat in, and make it hotter. Should I keep his foil on the vent hoses or should I remove it? I could also see how this could attract cool air and keep it cooler too like on a computer heatsink. Let me know, thanks.

It may be heat shield wrap. They make wraps like that for starters and anything that gets near exhaust and such. You can leave it.
