Looks like a great start on a hot rod build. Something must be up?? That car has been on and off kijiji for awhile now. It was originally listed for $8,000 when I first seen it a few months ago.
There aren't many people lining up to take on a project that needs a ton of work to complete. The ad says it still has the straight 8; - meaning it would need a total drive train gut in order to put something modern and usable in, or, if a guy wants to restore it back, there are a lot of parts that would have to be located. For a guy in the Canadian market, old original Buick parts to finish a restoration would be incredibly expensive considering everything would have to come from the US and the exchange rate adds another 1/3 to the cost. And then there's shipping and taxes, once anything approaches the border shipping gets to be exorbitant and taxes are punitive.
At any rate that is one classic body style . Cool as Ice. Love to see that done as a nostalgic gasser with a big nailhead injected or supercharged without chopping up the body .
