A friend of mine was telling me yesterday,that her friends son is looking to receive birthday cards in the attempts to make a Guiness World Record. His name is Shane Bernier age 7 from Lancaster, Ontario. He was diagnosed with having Acute Lymphoblastic Lukemia. He is currently undergoing chemo at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario - CHEO. He would like to receive birthday cards from anyone who is willing to send them. He is going to be 8 years old on May 30, 2007. From what she told me, he was doing good up until last year, then he went back into remission. When I mentioned this to the wife she said she recieved an email about him and seen it in the paper. We'll send one out this week. Ray
That's great guy's! Just send one whenever you like,... time frame doesn't matter. He just wants to receive cards because it makes him feel good to get mail. Buick Guy's help out again,.. gotta love it.
My ten year old came home from school today and was telling about this very same deal. Apparently, a whole bunch of students from surrounding schools, are sending Shane cards to help get his record. Cool thing to do. I'm shipping one off this weekend. Jim
