I'd like to drop mine an inch or two. Has anyone done it? what did you use? where did you get it? do you have pictures? Is that too many questions?

    Thanks
    Mike

there are a few places that make custom coils, i would imagine that would do it.......or if you really wanted to go nuts check out www.airride.com ......i don't think you can get lower front spindles, or if you even would need them...but if you can, let me know!

I've thought about air suspension but as heavy as this car is I'm affaid it would be very mushy. Is anybody using them? What's the ride like?

it's what i'm gonna use.....check out their site and forums........airspring and air bags made a comeback with big rigs and ect., so i don't think it'll be a problem.......check out their reader's rides to......there is a '62 electra that's pretty sharp on bags......i haven't gotten to that on my car yet, but it looks like they've got pretty helpful customer service.....

i know Kanter will make custom springs, but i also heard(this is just what i've read people saying on the internet) that they don't have great custom service.....maybe do a search and call around, like eaton springs, detroit springs, i'm sure there are more.........

THanks for the lead on eaton. It looks like they can do the job.

I cut a coil off my front springs. It is OK to do only if you use a cutoff wheel and not a torch.

I also got shorter springs for my Riv as well.

Look for a spring supplier in your area. A full-service truck repair place probably knows where to get them.
