Bump. I was hoping to find a buyer for this car that would appreciate it and restore the car back to original condition. I understand that the car needs a lot, I really do. And maybe you wouldn't take this project on to make a ton of money. If you're doing a factory restore CORRECTLY, you probably aren't going to make a ton of money ever.

I put "obo" behind the asking price. I'm at the point where I am contemplating cutting the car up and selling it off to the vultures. Please, I'd rather not. Make me an offer.

Hate to see it cut up. It was good to talk to you about the car and everything else you have going on!

Hopefully you find a buyer at maybe a bit more than a cut up price. Unfortunately no one would every make any money restoring a 69 Stage 1 hardtop. Now a days people are losing money even if it is a ragtop. Different story if it was a 70.
It would take a buyer that would truly love ," To Save One " and keep it themselves. If I wasn't so " Deep " into my car, I might consider it.

I know you don’t want to cut it up but if you end up having to please keep me in mind gsonnos. I’m about an hour out from you if the car is still located in the area you originally posted. thanks

Just wanted to give an update on this car, it is now listed on Ebay. It is listed under my seller account, m7e8t8e0o. I am John's brother. If you have any questions about the car, please reach out to John, his phone number is (9 two 0) 8 zero 9-7 seven 6 one. Thanks everyone!

Andrew, if you folks intend on people sending a deposit and traveling from out of state to get the car, I think it in everyone's best interest to have clear pictures of the worst areas of rust on the underside of the car. Just a suggestion. GLWS

Thanks for the input, Brian. With Ebay's limited amount of pictures per price tier, I ended up trying to get pictures to show the pedigree of the car. I also tried to make it very clear in the listing that the car is rough. And I've also already sent out extra pictures on Ebay to a couple folks that asked. I'll try to edit the photos and see if I can swap some out. I'll also try to link the thread from here for reference photos.

That being said, I was hoping that someone from here would purchase this car. Someone who previously saw all the photos, knowing that it is now at it's lowest price yet. I guess we'll see.

It's ridiculous that Ebay charges $5 per extra photo for their auto listings.

You can host the pictures elsewhere and add then to your listing. Best of luck

I was able to add the link from here to the eBay listing last night. They haven't removed it yet, so I assume it's ok to do. Thanks for the info.

I just want to add (for everyone's sake) that there is no attempt to hide any info about this car. My brother and I have been completely transparent about the car and we have answered every question from every serious buyer. Yes, the car is rough. But is it salvageable. The reason I do most of the posting on this car is because I have more time available to do so, and being more tech-savvy. I encourage anyone that is serious about this car to call my brother with any questions NOW. The car already has a bid on eBay with no reserve, so it will sell. There are about 5 days left on the auction. So, technically, the car is no longer for sale on this forum (unless the eBay auction isn't fulfilled by the final bidder)

    Again, if you're interested, call my brother John @ 9 two 0 - 8 zero 9 - 7 seven 6 one.
