for a 69 350 with the 2 barrel I was thinking about low cost hp mods. Trying to get in the 275-300 hp range. So far I’m keeping it simple and “affordable” with dual exhaust, 4 barrel, clutched fan (non ac car), and maybe a mild street cam (ta 212). That should get me in that ballpark correct?

You would be better of with the Crower level 2 cam. Be sure to use recommended valve springs with whatever cam you use. Also have the heads milled to raise the compression.

Change the rear gear ratio. You will think you put a cam in..... less hassle.

Yes, gear , converter , mill heads. Quadrajet built for your 350 by quadrajet power or Everyday Performance.
You can run the crower level 3 , degree it 4 advanced. But it would really respond to bigger valves. And 25-2800 converter from Trishield.
While you’re there, replace the front cam bearing. The ta backgrooved one would be best.
Without big valves and some blending, you will probably only be 240 range for hp with the lower compression ratio
Get something with an exhaust balance tube or X pipe.
