My cousin Joe died on the 4th of July last week of cardiac arrest. Just got back from New York for his funeral.

He was my son's mentor, my friend and the only guy I knew who understood baseball like me so we would have long deep discussions about why, when or if something should happen during a game.

He was also a pro pitcher in his day and spectacular coach and teacher for 30 years. The veiwing was packed with his former students, players and colleagues.

We attended so many games and armchaired the whole game. We talked two or three times a week on the phone and if I didn't call him he would call me.

    I'm gonna miss him!

    Mikey

So sorry for your loss. I can relate on the baseball connection and how hard it is to find someone like that, whether it's a friend or family..................
