Alright so just ordered a 9.5in torque converter from Tri Shield and I've been kicking around some thoughts it would be be nice to get some opinions from the best. So almost three years ago I rebuilt by th400 in my 74 buick regal. I went through TCI for the clutches seals and shift kit, from there I went to Coan racing for a direct drum with the 34 element sprag front drum and 180 psi front pump. Mind you I had no experience doing mechanic work and I mean NONE before this project I had replaced a power steering pump and a radiator and understanding my limited experience ordered a cheap eBay case for insurance just in case it exploded I wouldn't be loosing my numbers matching tansmission. But three years later the trans is holding up to all of the abuse I can throw at it. So since I'm dropping the transmission anyways I might as well drag the original case out and put it back in. What brand would you guys recommend for just a simple rebuild like this? And mabye a few more tricks I could apply while I'm in there

Leave the trans alone if it's shifting strong. That convertor will wake everything up!

I personally would leave it alone too... might as well keep this one for a spare since it works great and rebuild the original if you want
