Hey everyone, I am wanting to start collecting dealership books (binders) with an intention of reproducing them. I am not looking to really make money but more or less do something fun that preserves the history and community. I am looking for Build Sheets starting with any cars built out of Southgate, CA. I am looking mainly for nailhead buicks but might go back further to the straight 8s. I will be looking for 60's years first of Buick Facts and Features (red binders with the "know show go" key on the front) Also I really want the rare color and upholstery books. Starting with 1964 or 1961. Any paint chip books as well. Basically if it came out of a dealership in the 60s I want it!
I have the 1960 Dealership Presentation Album (was a hard find at the time and a lot of $) and I have a 1971 also. I still own my 60 Electra 225 convertible so not interested in selling it because it is in great condition and I have the car but you can PM me on the 71 if serious on it. Best of luck on your project.
I will hold off on the 71 for now at least. Hoping to get the early to mid 60s located first. I just picked up a 61 Electra and have 2 1964 wildcats including 1 super wildcat. I am a history buff and want to learn as much as I can.
Sorry about that I will edit my post. I have most of the 60s repair manuals collected already. Thank you though. If you need any 64 parts I have a 64 wildcat parts car.
They are not available for reproduction, but I have a ton of my personal collection digitzed on my website, shown in signature, including the Know Show Go book.
I have a 64 Features and Facts and a 69 Parts guide. Probably a couple of others too. NOS Riviera owners manuals 69 & 70.
I assume you're aware of this excellent site. I refer to it often (Board Member's but I don't recall who). https://www.gransportstage1.com/buick-sales-literature/
I follow all your videos man, you are doin good work down there. I really like the windshield wiper motor rebuild video. Do you have any diagrams or how to's on that external wooden dashboard you made to check all the gauges and wiring?
I have these catalogs (not binders) if interested. 64, 65, 67 full line catalogs. Stored in plastic sleeves. PM if interested
I really just started sticking parts I had into plywood and wiring them up. It's all a factory wiring harness with added grounds. I use a 12 volt drill motor to turn the speedometer.
Nice! I have a parts car that is complete 64 Wildcat 4 door sedan if you ever need a part let me know!
